Early-morning crash on the parkway
City records show that one pedestrian was killed and no one else was recorded as injured in the crash on Grand Central Parkway at 3:18 a.m. on Dec. 18, 2022.
QNS, citing police, reported that a 52-year-old woman driving a Mercedes SUV eastbound hit Luis Saguay and that a 24-year-old man driving a Mazda sedan hit him afterward. Officers found Saguay unconscious on the roadway, and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The official record places the crash on Grand Central Parkway in Queens. QNS described the location as Grand Central Parkway at 41st Avenue in Corona, while El Diario NY described it in the eastbound lanes before Exit 10 for the Long Island Expressway.

QNS identified the man who died as Luis Saguay, 49, of Wallington, New Jersey. City records also list the person killed as a 49-year-old male pedestrian.
