Police said General failed to navigate the roadway
Police responding to a 911 call found Dwayne General lying on the roadway near 79th Street with body trauma. EMS took him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where authorities said he was pronounced dead.
The NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad determined that General had been riding west on North Conduit Avenue on a 2012 Yamaha V-Star Cruiser motorcycle when he failed to properly navigate the roadway just west of 79th Street. Police said the motorcycle ended up on its left side and came to rest in the street.
