Alexander Murillo, a 44-year-old Bronx man, was operating a stand-up e-scooter eastbound on Givan Avenue at about 11:39 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2023, according to police accounts cited by Norwood News. Police said he lost control while crossing at Sexton Place and was thrown to the pavement. EMS took him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he died on Nov. 5. Police said Murillo lost control at the intersection

At about 11:39 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, Alexander Murillo was operating a stand-up e-scooter eastbound on Givan Avenue. Police said he lost control while crossing at Sexton Place, was thrown to the pavement, and suffered head and body trauma.

He died at Jacobi two days later

EMS took Murillo to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi. Police said he died there on Sunday, Nov. 5. Norwood News reported that police identified him as Alexander Murillo of Gunther Avenue in the Bronx, and the Daily News reported that he was three blocks from home.
