Police identified the pedestrian as 86-year-old Antonio Conigliaro, News 12 reported. The outlet reported that police said he was killed on impact and that sources said he lived just down the street from the crash location.

News 12 reported that the driver was a 31-year-old man who stayed at the scene with police. In its June 12 report, News 12 said police reported no arrests.

Police reopened the street after the response

FDNY officials told News 12 that first responders found Conigliaro dead at the scene. News 12 later reported that the NYPD reopened the street to drivers.
