SUV Driver Arrested After Pedestrian Killed on Major Deegan

The Daily News reported that the man was believed to be in his 40s and was not carrying ID. Shore News Network reported that officers found him unconscious and unresponsive after a 911 call about a motor-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
The driver stayed at the scene and was arrested
The Daily News reported that Day remained at the scene. Police said he was later charged with attempted unlicensed driving and attempted refusal to take a breath test; the article said an NYPD spokeswoman could not clarify why the charges used the word attempted.
