Scooter rider killed in early-morning Myrtle Avenue crash

Surveillance video described the sequence
News 12, citing surveillance video, reported that the rider was making a left turn onto Bedford Avenue when there was contact with a gray Subaru traveling through the intersection. The impact threw him into the roadway, and seconds later a driver in a white Nissan sedan hit him.
The official record lists three involved vehicles: an eastbound 2023 Yiben moped, a northbound 2017 Subaru sedan, and a northbound 2020 Nissan sedan.
The rider died at Kings County Hospital
Emergency crews took the scooter rider to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he died. News 12 reported that police had not released his name pending family notification.
Police said both sedan drivers stayed at the scene and were not injured. News 12 reported that no arrests had been made and that NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad was investigating.
