The crash left one teen dead and another injured
Police identified the 13-year-old who died as Kayvon Jones. EMS took him to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 14-year-old boy riding with him suffered a leg injury and was listed in stable condition. Police said the 63-year-old Tahoe driver remained at the scene and was not injured.

The Post and ABC7 described the teens' ride as a motorized scooter. The Daily News and Patch identified it as a Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket electric bike.
The other involved vehicle was described as a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 63-year-old man; ABC7 and Patch described it as a 2024 model.
Investigators had not announced charges
Police said the Tahoe driver stayed at the scene. The Post, ABC7, Daily News and Patch reported no arrest or charges in the immediate aftermath, and police said the investigation was continuing.
Neighbors mourned a newly 13-year-old boy
The Daily News reported that Kayvon had recently turned 13 and had plans to celebrate with family at a water park the next day. His aunt posted, "This just don't feel real."
Charles Davis, a neighbor who lived in the same building as Kayvon's family, told the Daily News, "He was a good boy. He didn't bother nobody."
