   Wayne Silverman, 70, died after a collision involving an arriving MTA Q52 bus at Hoffman Drive and Woodhaven Boulevard, QNS reported.
   QNS reported that police responded just before 2 p.m. to Hoffman Drive and Woodhaven Boulevard in Elmhurst, where Wayne Silverman was found in the roadway after a collision involving an MTA Q52 bus. EMS took him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died a short time later. Investigators said Silverman had been seated on a rollator walker at the bus stop and lost his balance as an MTA Q52 articulated bus was arriving. Police said the Q52 driver remained at the scene, no arrests had been made, and no criminality was suspected while the investigation continued.

   Edward Luyo, 44, who owned a concrete-flooring business with his brother, was fatally hit by a westbound sedan driver on Whitney Avenue around 4:30 PM while crossing midblock.
   Official crash records say a westbound sedan driver was going straight on Whitney Avenue around half past 4 PM on March 31, 2026, when he killed 44-year-old pedestrian Edward Luyo, who was crossing away from an intersection and crosswalk.
